Mrs. Madura was one of the inaugural members of the McGivney faculty. She is excited to work with her students, helping them discover who they are and what they are capable of. In addition to being the School Counselor, she teaches Dual Credit Psychology to Juniors and Seniors.
Upon graduating from the Bowie State University with a master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling, she worked with the Department of Defense Schools in Europe, and elementary and middle school students in Florida before returning to the Metro-East area.
Mrs. Madura is active in the American School Counselor’s Association, the Illinois School Counselor’s Association, and is the current president of the Southwestern Illinois School Counselor’s Association. She is also a member of the American Psychological Association.
As Student Services Director, Mrs. Madura hopes to help students grow in their faith, trust that God has a plan and guide them through their high school career trusting in God’s Plan. She is committed to helping each and every student at McGivney grow into the person they are meant to be.
