Mr. Clouser was born and raised in Houston, Texas, but he moved to the MetroEast in high school, graduating from Edwardsville High School in 2007. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from SIUE in 2011. Before accepting the coaching position at FMCHS in 2023, Mr. Clouser had 12 years coaching and teaching experience in the Carterville school district. There, he was a physical education and health teacher at the elementary, intermediate, and junior high levels.
During his tenure at Carterville, Mr. Clouser was also a varsity assistant basketball coach, helping guide the team to two regional titles and a sectional title, head freshman coach for 4 seasons, and head junior high coach for 8 seasons. Mr. Clouser's leadership helped the program to its first ever state championship in 2019. Also during his time coaching the program won 3 regional titles and 2 conference titles.
Mr. Clouser is the son of Gary and Denise Clouser who currently reside in Glen Carbon, IL. Mr. Clouser is married to Brooke, who works in the social work field. They have two daughters, Kendall and Emerson.
